FAQs about our new 2018 flagship journal
— Written by Ronnie and Trish —
We've received a number of questions since we opened up pre-orders for the 2018 edition of our flagship journal, Write Your Heart Out, so we thought it would be useful to compile some frequently asked questions (FAQs) to help you make an informed decision:
Do you have any more Volume 1 or Volume 2 of the 2017 journal in stock?
No, we don't. We've sold out of all our 2017 journals. We're very thankful to those of you who helped us achieve zero inventory waste by purchasing one of our journals during our sample sale.
Why doesn't the 2018 journal come in two volumes?
Our original plan was to release two volumes per year so that there would be 360 prompts available for those who preferred to journal on a daily basis. However, after listening to our customers’ feedback over the past twelve months, we decided that one volume for each year would suffice.
Does the 2018 journal have different prompts to the 2017 journals?
When we crafted the prompts for the first edition of Write Your Heart Out, we decided that it made sense to repeat a handful of prompts (e.g. What is on your heart right now?, Write about a moment from today that you want to remember., etc.) throughout each edition, and then to also repeat the same prompts for each subsequent edition of the journal. There are also a handful of prompts that will be repeated in each different edition of the journal, but not within the journal itself (e.g. In two hundred words or less, describe your family life right now., etc.). Taking into account these repeating prompts, there are 132 new prompts in each journal (out of a total of 180 prompts).
Is there any difference in design between the 2018 journal and the 2017 journals?
The only difference is that on the cover the 2018 journal, there is no foiling at the bottom that says Part One or Part Two since there is now only one volume for each year.
What colours are available for the 2018 journal?
Like the 2017 journals, the new journal will be available in five classic colours: black, green, grey, navy, and white. Presently, we do not have any intention of altering this colour palette. We want our customers to have the ability to choose the same colour every year should they wish to build a classic monochrome collection of journals on their bookshelf over time.
What happens if I miss the cut-off date for pre-ordering the 2018 journal?
Once the pre-order period closes, we won't be able to accept any additional orders since we've now transitioned to a made-to-order production model. Instead, we'll add your name to a waiting list and we'll let you know if and when we decide to produce another batch of journals. Whether or not we decide to proceed with another batch of journals down the track will depend on demand, as determined by the number of names on our waiting list.
We hope that this post has been helpful! If you have any further questions, please leave us a comment below or send us an email.
